Here's how to get the perfect tan for your wedding day
We know your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life and we want to help you have the best results!
Regardless of whether you book with us or at another salon, here are some helpful tips on how to get the perfect tan for your big day!
““When planning makeup and hair for your wedding day, a spray tan is now also a major factor in getting the perfect look. For many years a fake tan was deemed a no go for brides. They didn’t want to look back at the wedding photos and see an obvious dark spray tanned look or possibly endure a nightmare of having orange looking results. Nowadays there are well made formulas that complement all complexions and occasions. Tanning has evolved over recent years and now it’s a must have”

Here is the Run Down:
1st: Inform Yourself You will want to choose a spray tanning salon that has good reviews and uses a product that provides natural looking results. We suggest reading reviews as well as looking for pictures posted by other people. Check their Yelp Profile, Facebook Reviews and tagged images on Instagram. Make sure to select a company that provides a color consultation. Don’t just let them select the color for you without discussing it! They should look at your skin tone and inquire what shade you are considering. Our recommendations, is to choose the lightest formula or possibly one shade above the lightest color. You want to look as natural as possible but with a healthy glow!
2nd: Understand what an Appointment Entails!
Most women are not aware that they won’t be able to wear a bra after their appointment. It can be uncomfortable running errands braless if you normally wear a bra! Best advice: Whatever day you plan your spray tan, also plan on taking that day to kick back and relax as much as you can! We know it’s hard because you have a wedding coming up….but trust us, if you can do it, it’s better for you!
3rd: Book a Spray Tanning Trial (similar to you booking a makeup trial, a spray tan trial done 2-3 weeks in advance is just as important. We recommend using your trial tan for your Bachelorette party or Bridal Shower ) If you book a trial tan, we suggest putting a reminder on your phone for 2 days after to try on something white. This will help you see if you like the way the tan looks on your skin against white clothing.
4th: Now that your appointment is set, let’s get ready! Prepping is crucial! Click here for the MUST KNOW details on how to prepare for your appointment!
5th: After your Appointment, Maintain it. When it comes to keeping the color looking natural and hydrated, always stick to cool showers and press the skin dry with your towel. Then moisturize generously with a hydrating moisturizer. If you are leaving on a honeymoon and need to extend your tan, we recommend purchasing a gradual self tanner that you have previously tried before or using our personal favorite, Vita Liberata.
