What you need to know
Even though it sounds like just another BS treatment with too-good-to-be-true results, dermaplaning is actually one of the most effective dermatologist-backed solutions for dealing with dull, blah skin. Here’s what you need TO KNOW before, during and after the session.
✔️discontinue all exfoliants like AHAs, BHAs, enzymes, microbeads, and retinoids for at least a week before your appointment
✔️don’t have hair removal such as waxing two weeks before dermaplaning as your skin is still healing
✔️if your skin is experiencing breakout, it is better to reschedule your appointment.
✔️Let us know if you have any allergies or are taking any medication
✔️Relax, feel comfortable and pampered and know that our aestheticians are trained to give you the best possible results
✔️Let us know if you would like anything to make you feel more comfortable
✔️After your dermaplaning session, avoid a direct contact with the sun for the first 2-3 days
✔️Wear your sunscreen with at least SP30 or that with a broad spectrum
✔️For around 6-7 days, do not use any exfoliant such as but not limited to microbeads, retinoids and the like
✔️Hydrate your skin
